Jae Cash Dedicates Heartfelt Song to Late Baby Mama, Fanely
Zambian rapper Jae Cash pays tribute to his late baby mama, Fanely, in his newly released album with a deeply emotional track titled A Song for Fanely. The song reflects on love, loss, and the lingering pain of losing someone dear.
Opening with the haunting sound of a “subscriber not available” response to a phone call, the song immediately sets a sorrowful tone. Towela Kaira delivers powerful vocals, singing, “I could do anything just to get one chance,” capturing the yearning to relive just one more moment with a loved one.
Jae Cash begins his verse with “Dear Fanely,” pouring out his emotions as he reflects on her passing on February 14, 2022. He expresses how much he and their children—Jayden (3 years old) and LeBron (6 years old)—miss her and still struggle to understand why she had to leave, especially when their youngest was just two months old. The rapper admits that speaking about Fanely makes him emotional, which is why he rarely does.
Despite the pain, Jae Cash emphasizes his strength for their children, saying, “If only I could get like one chance, to feel your presence, kukuona face to face. Sitenze married, but then you gave me kids, I’ll forever cherish you.”
In the second verse, he reminisces about Jayden, their son who was left at just two months old and is now growing into the spitting image of his mother. He talks about his close bond with his son and how his mother plays both a grandmother and motherly role in raising him.
Jae Cash also reflects on his relationship with Fanely’s family, acknowledging past tensions during her funeral but revealing that he still maintains contact. He mentions that his children spend holidays with their late mother’s relatives and that he has since found a good woman—but still deeply misses Fanely.
