Daddy Zemus & Mainza – Chibaba
Anthony Mbinga Kafunya (1 May 1968 – 3 January 2001), known professionally as Daddy Zemus, was a Zambian musician and songwriter. Often hailed as the King of Zam-ragga, he was among the first artists to blend local Zambian music with ragga, hip-hop, and R&B, making him a pioneer in this innovative fusion of sounds. After signing with the emerging record label Mondo Music, Zemus released the chart-topping album *Chibaba* in December 1999 to critical acclaim. The album became one of the most influential in Zambian music history, heralding a new wave of Zambian sound and inspiring a generation of upcoming musicians.
